CUBE is a private household project at cube.run.today. It lets invited residents connect supported accounts and choose which readings to share on a kitchen display. Participation is optional.
What the app handles
The app stores your household profile, selected services, sharing choices, account identifiers from connected providers, and connection tokens. When you sync a configured service, it retrieves readings covered by your choices, such as a sleep score and date, workouts, or weight measurements, dates, recent history and an optional weight goal.
You sign in on the provider’s own website. CUBE does not ask for or store your provider password. Oura and Withings connections use their official authorization flows. The provider separately controls its own account, data and privacy settings.
What is shared
Fridge-sharing choices start unchecked. You choose individual categories before connecting. The selected readings can appear on the shared kitchen display, where housemates and visitors may see them. Avoid selecting a category you want to keep private.
The public joining page does not show health readings. Your account settings and readings require your private invitation code and an authenticated session. The common fridge QR code is a link to setup; it is not an invitation code or an account credential.
Where information is kept
The app runs on the household’s run.today server. Provider tokens and cached readings are encrypted in its private database. The server also holds the key needed for the app to use them. The house administrator maintains this system and may access stored information when operating or supporting it.
The app uses an essential session cookie to keep you signed in, and stores limited security information to protect invitations and sign-in requests. It does not include advertising or analytics trackers, sell health data, or use health data for advertising.
Changing your mind
Uncheck a sharing category and save to stop future sharing of that category. Saving sharing changes clears cached readings in the app database. You can also disconnect a provider in your settings; this deletes that connection’s stored tokens and readings from the app database. To revoke the provider’s authorization separately, remove CUBE in that provider’s connected-app settings.
Connection information otherwise remains in the app until it is disconnected or removed by the house administrator. A physical e-paper display keeps its existing picture until it receives a new one. Removing data from the app cannot immediately erase a display that is offline; ask for a refresh if a reading should disappear from the fridge.
